Samdech Maha Rathsapheathika Thipadei Khuon Sudary, President of the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Cambodia, extended her congratulations and felicitations to H.E. Dr. Sonexay Siphandone on his election as the President of the National Assembly of the Lao People's Democratic Republic on Oct. 5, 2026.

“Our longstanding relationship as good neighbours, special traditional friends, comprehensive and long-term strategic partnership between our two nations have been built, nurtured and enhanced over the decades based on mutual respect, mutual understanding, mutual trust, and mutual interest,” she wrote in her congratulatory message to H.E. Dr. Sonexay Siphandone.

Samdech Khuon Sudary expressed confidence that these existing ties will continue to deepen in the years ahead for the mutual benefits of the two peoples.

“I look forward to working closely with you and your colleagues to further strengthening our existing parliamentary cooperation at both bilateral and multilateral frameworks for enduring regional peace, prosperity and building ASEAN-centred regional architecture,” she concluded.
