AKP Phnom Penh, August 31, 2026 --

Cambodia has officially launched construction of the Cambodia SuperPort, a new special economic zone and logistics complex with an estimated investment of US$300 million in Kampong Speu province, marking another step in strengthening the country’s industrial and logistics infrastructure.

H.E. Hun Many, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Civil Service, presided over the groundbreaking ceremony on behalf of Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

Located in Sampov village, Sangkat Chbar Mon, Chbar Mon city, the Phnom Penh Logistics and Industrial Complex, or Cambodia SuperPort, covers approximately 132 hectares.

The project is expected to serve as an important logistics and industrial hub, connecting production bases in Cambodia with regional and international markets while improving the efficiency of goods movement and strengthening the country’s supply chains.

With its strategic location, Cambodia SuperPort will provide a key connection between industrial areas, logistics centres and multimodal transport networks. It is also expected to create an integrated ecosystem combining industrial and logistics infrastructure to better respond to the needs of investors and businesses.

The launch of the project reflects the improvement of Cambodia’s investment environment, supported by peace, political stability, strong national unity and the country’s open economic policies.

These favourable conditions have increasingly attracted both domestic and international investors, contributing to stronger production and service supply chains, job creation and improved livelihood opportunities for Cambodians.

Speaking at the ceremony, H.E. Hun Many expressed strong hope that Cambodia SuperPort would become a successful model of cooperation between the Royal Government, domestic private sector and international investment partners.

The project is expected to translate this partnership and shared vision into tangible results that will contribute to Cambodia’s long-term economic growth and improve the living standards of its people.
