AKP Phnom Penh, July 06, 2026 --

Team NPIC 01 of the National Polytechnic Institute of Cambodia (NPIC), which won the championship in the 13th National Robotic Competition, will represent Cambodia at ABU Robocon 2026 to be held in August in Hong Kong, the People's Republic of China.

The information was revealed by H.E. Khim Vuthy, Director General of the National Television of Cambodia (TVK), at the closing ceremony of the 13th National Robotic Competition, held under the presidency of H.E. Heng Sour, Minister of Labour and Vocational Training at the Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP) in Phnom Penh on July 5.

The 13th National Robotic Competition is not only a platform to compete but also a good opportunity for Cambodian students from higher education institutions to meet, exchange experiences and cultivate new creative concepts, especially in the current era, the artificial intelligence (AI) era, underlined the TVK Director General.

The robotic competition event had the participation of eight robotic teams from five higher education institutions, including two teams from the Institute of Technology of Cambodia (ITC), two from the NPIC, one from the National Technical Training Institute (NTTI), two from the National University of Management (NUM), and one from Preah Kossomak Polytechnic Institute (PPI).
