AKP Phnom Penh, June 28, 2026 --
President of the ruling Cambodian People's Party (CPP), Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, mentioned that Cambodia has maintained steady socio-economic progress during the first half of 2026 despite increasingly complex international developments and the impacts of Thailand's "war of aggression" against Cambodia's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
In his message marking the 75th CPP’s Founding Anniversary on June 28, Samdech Techo Hun Sen shared that, Cambodia has preserved political stability, national security, public order, macroeconomic stability, and the overall stability of people's livelihoods despite external challenges.
The President of the ruling party said Cambodia's economy is projected to grow by 4.2 percent in 2026, while food security remains strong. It also highlighted significant growth in international trade, particularly exports, along with increased tax revenue collection.
The CPP said the government has worked to transform challenges into opportunities by expanding domestic production, encouraging the consumption of Cambodian-made products, and strengthening tax revenue collection.
According to the message, these efforts demonstrate Cambodia's resilience and provide a solid foundation for sustaining economic development and adapting to future changes.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen also called on the Cambodian people to continue promoting national independence, self-reliance, and self-sufficiency while supporting initiatives aimed at strengthening the country's long-term economic resilience.
