Cambodian PM Departs for Russia to Attend ASEAN-Russia Commemorative Summit
AKP Phnom Penh, June 17, 2026 --
A high-level Cambodian delegation led by Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet left this morning for the Russian Federation to participate in the ASEAN-Russia Commemorative Summit, marking the 35th Anniversary of ASEAN-Russia Dialogue Relations, at the invitation of H.E. Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation.
The delegation was seen off at Techo International Airport by deputy prime ministers, senior ministers, and many other high-ranking officials, as well as Russian Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. Ambassador Anatoly Borovik.
According to a press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the ASEAN-Russia Commemorative Summit will be held from June 17 to 18, 2026 in Kazan.
In celebration of the 35th Anniversary of ASEAN-Russia Dialogue Relations, the Summit serves as an important opportunity to chart the course for further advancing the ASEAN-Russia Strategic Partnership. The leaders will also exchange views on regional and international issues of common interest and concern, thereby contributing to the promotion of peace, stability, and prosperity in the region and beyond.
Samdech Thipadei Prime Minister will attend other side events and have several bilateral meetings to further enhance bilateral and multilateral relations and promote cooperation in areas of shared interest and mutual benefit.
Samdech Thipadei Prime Minister is accompanied by H.E. Deputy Prime Minister Prak Sokhonn, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Dr. Hang Chuon Naron, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Education, Youth and Sport, Ministers, senior government officials, and Cambodian business representatives.
