Cambodian Embassy in China Promotes 2026 World Conference of Girl Guides Through Giant LED Display in Beijing
AKP Phnom Penh, June 13, 2026 —
The Royal Embassy of Cambodia in the People’s Republic of China has launched a promotional campaign for one of Cambodia’s major upcoming international events through its large LED display in Beijing, featuring a welcome video for delegates and Girl Guide leaders from around the world.
The campaign highlights Cambodia’s preparations to host the 39th World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) and the 42nd Annual Meeting of The Olave Baden-Powell Society (OB-PS).
The international gathering is scheduled to take place in Siem Reap province from June 14 to 19, 2026, under the theme “We See, We Care, We Act,” reflecting the values of participation, care, and collective action to create positive social change.
Through the promotional video, Cambodia showcases its rich cultural heritage, vibrant civilisation, development achievements, and the peaceful and stable environment that supports the country’s readiness to welcome international visitors.
As host country, Cambodia is making extensive preparations to receive women and young Girl Guide leaders from across the globe for exchanges, dialogue, and strengthened international cooperation.
The embassy’s initiative also serves as an opportunity to present Cambodia’s image and hospitality to an international audience while reinforcing confidence in the country’s capacity to host global events.
Beyond promoting the conference itself, the campaign highlights the Kingdom’s reputation and tourism potential, contributing to broader international awareness of Cambodia as a destination for cultural exchange and international engagement.
