Cambodian NA President Extends Condolences to Philippines over Earthquake Tragedy

Samdech Maha Rathsapheathika Thipadei Khuon Sudary, President of the National Assembly (NA) of the Kingdom of Cambodia, has conveyed condolences to the Republic of the Philippines following the devastating earthquake that struck off the coast of Mindanao Island in southern Philippines.
In a message dated June 11, 2026, addressed to H.E. Faustino “Bojie” G. Dy III, Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Republic of the Philippines, Samdech Khuon Sudary expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives, displacement of thousands of families, numerous casualties, and damage to infrastructure caused by the magnitude 7.8 earthquake.
On behalf of the National Assembly of Cambodia and in her personal capacity, Samdech Khuon Sudary extended heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the Speaker and, through him, to the bereaved families and all victims affected by the disaster.
“While standing in solidarity with the people of the Philippines and government during this difficult time, I wish all the victims and affected communities a swift recovery and resumption of normal life,” the Cambodian NA President wrote.
Samdech Khuon Sudary concluded her message by reiterating her profound condolences and conveying assurances of her highest consideration.
