The Ministry of Tourism has promoted visa exemption for Chinese tourists, by calling upon the public, tourism industry associations, tourism operators, the private sector, media representatives, domestic and international tourists to actively disseminate through all means.

With the high approval of Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, the Royal Government of Cambodia has authorised a visa exemption for Chinese nationals holding passports of the People's Republic of China (PRC), including Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau, excluding Taiwan. 

Regardless of whether they travel directly from China or from any other country, all holders of PRC passports entering the Kingdom of Cambodia shall be granted visa exemption and permitted to stay in Cambodia for 14 days, during a period of 4 months, from June 15, 2026 to Oct. 15, 2026, without any requirement to submit a visa application or pay any fees, provided that travellers complete the E-Arrival Card. 

During the implementation period, Chinese tourists may enter Cambodia multiple times as they wish.

“The Ministry of Tourism respectfully calls upon the public, tourism industry associations, tourism operators, the private sector, media representatives, domestic and international tourists, and all relevant stakeholders to take note of and jointly implement this measure with a high sense of responsibility, as well as to actively disseminate and promote it widely through all means and in all forms, with a view to further increasing the number of Chinese tourists visiting the Kingdom of Cambodia,” read the statement issued dated Jan. 15. 

Cambodia recorded a total of 1.1 million Chinese tourists in the first 11 months of 2025, a year-on-year increase of 43.5 percent, according to the Ministry of Tourism.

The number of Chinese tourists accounted for 21 percent of the 5.17 million international tourist arrivals to the Kingdom during the January-November period this year, the Ministry added.
