Cambodia, Finland Welcome Fruitful Outcomes of Bilateral Consolation Mechanism

Permanent Secretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MFAIC), H.E. Eat Sophea, received at the ministry yesterday a courtesy call by H.E. Ms. Kristiina Kuvaja-Xanthopoulos, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Finland to Kingdom of Cambodia, with residence in Bangkok, Thailand.
According to an MFAIC’s news release, during the meeting, H.E. Permanent Secretary of State extended her warm congratulations to H.E. Ms. Kristiina Kuvaja-Xanthopoulos on her appointment as the new Finnish Ambassador to Cambodia. She expressed her deep appreciation to the Finnish Government for its invaluable assistance to Cambodia, particularly in the areas of agriculture, demining, land administration and the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia.
Both sides noted with great satisfaction with the fruitful outcomes of the first bilateral consultations between the Foreign Ministries of Cambodia and Finland and discussed the possibility of holding the second consultation at a mutually convenient time.
The discussions also covered potential areas for further cooperation between the two nations, regional and global issues of shared interest and concern.
