AKP Phnom Penh, March 07, 2025 --
The Henan Provincial Administration of China is interested in establishing an agro-industrial park in Cambodia and expanding it into a special agriculture trade zone in the longer term.
The interest was reaffirmed following a Cambodia investment promotion session led by Cambodia Deputy Prime Minister and CDC First Vice President H.E. Sun Chanthol in Phnom Penh on Mar. 5.
The agro-industrial park was expected to host a broad range of agricultural product processing facilities and warehouses equipped with modern technologies.
H.E. Sun Chanthol deeply appreciated the intention, highlighting other lucrative investment opportunities in Cambodia, including industrial plants, the automotive industry, green energy, services, and education.
Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. Wang Wenbin and Deputy Governor of the People's Government of Guangzhou City of China H.E. Li Fengzhi also joined the meeting with over 50 senior officials and key investors of the two countries.
The meeting also served as a forum for Cambodian investors to showcase their potential in order to seek a partnership with the Chinese investors.
