Cambodian Youth Join Drug Prevention Event in Thailand
AKP Phnom Penh, February 01, 2025 -- Four Cambodian youths are joining the 4th Youth Network on Drug Prevention event in Bangkok, Thailand.
The information was shared by H.E. Lt. Gen. Lim Tonghuot, Director of Promotion, Education, and Public Relations Department of the National Authority for Combating Drugs (NACD), adding that 60 delegates from the 10 ASEAN countries, Timor-Leste, and China participate in the event.
The 4th Youth Network on Drug Prevention takes place from Jan. 31 to Feb. 8 in Thailand and Cambodia, under the organisation of the Office of the Narcotics Control Board of Thailand (ONCB).
During the event, the participating Cambodian youths will share experiences with other delegates in preventing and cracking down on drugs and the Royal Government of Cambodia's effort in the fight against drugs through the launch of the app "NoDrugs", said Brigadier Gen. Yin Yoeuth, Deputy Director and Head of Cambodian Delegations.
According to H.E. Lt. Gen. Lim Tonghuot, all the participating delegates of the event will pay a three-day visit to Cambodia's Siem Reap province after the gathering in Thailand.
