AKP Phnom Penh, October 13, 2026 —

The Ministry of Tourism, in collaboration with the Stung Treng Provincial Administration, will organise the Cambodia-Laos Friendship Fun Run on Oct. 19 to mark the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Cambodia and Laos.

The event will start at 6:00 a.m. at the Preah Phirun Roundabout in Stung Treng province, bringing together participants to celebrate the longstanding friendship between the two neighbouring countries.

According to the Ministry of Tourism’s announcement released on Tuesday evening, registration is free of charge and will remain open until Oct. 16, 2026. Interested participants are encouraged to register through the QR code provided in the announcement.

Registered participants will receive a T-shirt, water, beverages and snacks. The first 100 participants to cross the finish line will also receive commemorative medals.

Participants can collect their T-shirts on Oct. 17 and 18, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at the Tourist Information Centre in Sekong Park, Stung Treng province.

Cambodia and Laos officially established their diplomatic relations on June 15, 1956.
