A group of American businessmen has reaffirmed its commitment to expand trade and investment cooperation with Cambodia, as a delegation from the U.S.-ASEAN Business Council (USABC) met with Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet to explore new opportunities for American companies in the Kingdom.

The delegation, led by USABC President and CEO Ambassador Brian McFeeters and joined by U.S. Chargé d’Affaires Aleks Zittle, held discussions focused on strengthening bilateral economic ties, promoting investment, and creating a more conducive environment for U.S. businesses to expand their presence in Cambodia.

During the meeting, the delegation underscored the value that American companies bring to the Cambodian market, highlighting their world-class products and services, trusted business practices, advanced technologies, and long-term commitment to investing in local workers and communities.

The delegation noted that deeper U.S. commercial engagement would help generate quality jobs, enhance the skills of Cambodia’s workforce, and support local enterprises in integrating into global supply chains and international markets.

The discussions also reflected growing momentum in Cambodia-U.S. economic relations, with both sides recognising the importance of strengthening private sector partnerships as a driver of sustainable economic growth and investment.

The visit by the USABC delegation signals continued interest from leading American companies in Cambodia’s economic potential and reinforces efforts to deepen bilateral trade and investment cooperation for the mutual benefit of both countries.

According to the Council for the Development of Cambodia, in the first semester of this year, Cambodia has registered a total of 276 investment projects worth US$4,7 billion, while American investors were among the top ten foreign investors in Cambodia.
