Cambodian King Sends National Day Greetings to H.E. Emmanuel Macron, Anticipates Upcoming Visit and Francophonie Summit

Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni has extended his warmest congratulations to French President H.E. Emmanuel Macron on the occasion of France's National Day, expressing high optimism for the future of bilateral relations.
In a formal congratulatory message sent ahead of the July 14 celebrations, the Cambodian monarch emphasized the "historic bonds of friendship and cooperation" that unite Cambodia and the French Republic, noting that the partnership is built upon mutual trust, reciprocal esteem, and shared values.
"I am pleased with the excellent quality of our partnership and remain confident that it will continue to deepen for the benefit of our two peoples and in the service of peace, dialogue, mutual understanding, and sustainable development," King Sihamoni said in the letter dated July 10.
The King also highlighted two major upcoming milestones in Cambodia-France relations: an impending official visit by President Macron to Phnom Penh and Cambodia’s hosting of the 20th Francophonie Summit.
Expressing his anticipation for the French leader's upcoming visit to the Southeast Asian nation, King Sihamoni stated he is "convinced that this visit will provide fresh momentum to our partnership and promote the expansion of our cooperation in areas of common interest."
Furthermore, as a fellow member of the French-speaking community, the King praised France's steadfast commitment to the values of La Francophonie. He expressed confidence that the upcoming summit in Cambodia would "inject new dynamism into our cooperation" and contribute to global solidarity, cultural diversity, and sustainable development.
Concluding his message, the Cambodian monarch offered his best wishes for President Macron's personal happiness and success, as well as for the continued prosperity of the French people.
