DPM Sun Chanthol Chairs Talks with EuroCham to Strengthen Cambodia’s Transport and Logistics
AKP Phnom Penh, July 06, 2026 —
Deputy Prime Minister H.E. Sun Chanthol, First Vice Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) and Chairman of the National Logistics Council, chaired a discussion with the European Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia (EuroCham Cambodia) on July 6 to explore ways to strengthen Cambodia’s transport and logistics sector and improve the efficiency of import-export cargo movement.
The meeting brought together representatives from the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, the Sihanoukville Autonomous Port (PAS), the General Department of Customs and Excise (GDCE), Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville Expressway, Royal Railway PLC, EuroCham, and other stakeholders.
Participants exchanged views on EuroCham’s logistics assessments and discussed measures to improve transport infrastructure, maximise the use of existing logistics networks, and enhance supply chain efficiency.
Responding to the discussions, H.E. Sun Chanthol welcomed the recommendations and outlined strategic measures to address existing challenges, deepen trade facilitation, and strengthen supply chain performance, with the goal of positioning Cambodia as a competitive regional logistics hub.
During the meeting, PAS introduced PASNet, its digital application launched in 2023 to provide real-time port operation services for customers and freight operators. Following its integration with partner banks in 2025, PASNet was connected to the ASYCUDA Hub in 2026, further streamlining customs and port procedures.
After the meeting, H.E. Sun Chanthol led the delegation on a site visit to the Sihanoukville Autonomous Port to inspect its operations and infrastructure development, aiming to assess the port’s capacity to support the continued growth of international trade.
The Deputy Prime Minister concluded by thanking all ministries, institutions, private sector representatives, and the PAS for their close cooperation in making the meeting and working visit successful.
