Dubai-Based Aviation Firm Hadid Eyeing Cambodia Tourism, Flight Expansion
AKP Phnom Penh, June 30, 2026 -- Dubai-based Hadid International Services is looking to promote Cambodia's tourism potential and expand its aviation operations into the Southeast Asian nation, according to the country's Ministry of Tourism.
The commitment was made during a meeting on Monday between Cambodian Tourism Minister H.E. Huot Hak and Aida Ismail, regional director and representative of the global aviation support services company.
Ismail briefed the minister on HADID’s 40-year history operating across Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. She expressed the company's intention to leverage its international partner network, promotional events, and global media platforms to showcase Cambodia's tourism assets worldwide.
In reply, Huot Hak welcomed the initiative, noting its potential to strengthen air connectivity between the Middle East and Cambodia’s key hubs, including Phnom Penh and the temple-rich city of Siem Reap.
The minister urged the company to organize familiarization trips to attract tourists and investors from the United Arab Emirates and the wider Middle East. He also proposed a feasibility study on introducing direct flights or expanding private aviation services to Siem Reap to cater to high-end business and VIP tourism.
Additionally, HADID was requested to promote the kingdom through its communication channels—including showrooms, social media, and in-flight entertainment—while highlighting Cambodia as a Muslim-friendly destination.
Cambodia received approximately 1.5 million international tourists in the first five months of 2026. While visitors from the Middle East accounted for only about 1,200 of that total, Cambodian officials view the region as an emerging market with significant growth potential.
