HM Queen Mother Receives OB-PS Champions Award During Global Girl Guiding Gathering in Cambodia

The Girl Guides Association of Cambodia (GGAC) has extended heartfelt congratulations to Her Majesty Queen Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk of Cambodia, Honorary President of the association, on being presented with the Olave Baden-Powell Society (OB-PS) Champions Award.
According to a congratulatory message issued in Siem Reap province on June 18 by Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chamony, Chief Commissioner of GGAC, the award was presented during the 39th World Conference of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) and the 42nd Annual OB-PS Meeting, hosted by Cambodia in Siem Reap from June 14 to 19, 2026.
The association stated that the honorary recognition reflects Her Majesty’s longstanding dedication, distinguished contributions, and unwavering support for the Girl Guiding movement in Cambodia and internationally.
It highlighted Her Majesty’s continuous encouragement and personal contributions in support of programmes that promote the development and empowerment of girls and young women.
According to the message, Her Majesty’s commitment has contributed significantly to enhancing leadership, knowledge, discipline, and opportunities for children, adolescent girls, and young women.
Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chamony described the recognition as a source of pride for Cambodia and an acknowledgement of Her Majesty’s enduring role in advancing the values and mission of the global Girl Guiding movement.
