Bridging Capital & Careers: IBCC Job Fair 2026 Opens 200 Roles for Cambodian Youth
AKP Phnom Penh, May 08, 2026 --
As Indian investment surges in the Kingdom, the Indian Business Chamber in Cambodia (IBCC) launched its 2026 Job Fair on Thursday, directly connecting 300 young Cambodians with 200 immediate job openings.
Held at the Sun and Moon Hotel, the May 7 event saw 15 companies conduct on-the-spot interviews, transforming a typical recruitment drive into a barometer of foreign investor confidence.
Presiding over the ceremony, Secretary of State H.E. Chea Kosal, representing Labour and Vocational Training Minister H.E. Heng Sour, hailed the fair as a model for public-private teamwork.
“This initiative demonstrates a proactive contribution to the Royal Government’s priority of sustainable employment for our youth,” H.E. Kosal said. He specifically pointed to the National Employment Agency (NEA) as a “strategic partner” for the private sector, using the fair to roll out career counseling and job registration services.
The Secretary of State emphasised that the active involvement of foreign business chambers like IBCC signals robust faith in Cambodia’s economic trajectory. He thanked the Indian business community not just for its commercial operations, but for its “commitment to maintaining labour market stability.”
With roughly 200 careers on the table – ranging across sectors fueled by Indian capital – the IBCC’s job fair was more than a hiring event: it was a live demonstration of how foreign direct investment is being converted into local opportunity, with the NEA now poised to deepen cooperation with the Chamber for future talent pipelines.
