The Kep provincial administration held a food fair and traditional games event on April 13 afternoon in front of the "I Love Kep" garden, as part of an effort to celebrate the Khmer traditional New Year and promote national culture, customs, and identity.

The opening ceremony was presided over by Kep Governor H.E. Dr. Som Piseth.

In his address, Governor Som Piseth described traditional games as a valuable cultural heritage passed down from ancestors. He noted that organising such activities during the New Year festival not only brings joy and entertainment but also plays a vital role in preserving and promoting national identity for future generations.

Following the ceremony, the Governor toured the food fair, which featured a wide variety of Khmer-style cuisine. He advised all vendors to maintain fair pricing and avoid overcharging customers during the New Year celebration.
