Cambodia and Vietnam to Further Strengthen and Expand Bilateral Cooperation

Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet received H.E. Tran Cam Tu, Member of the Politburo and Permanent Member of the Secretariat of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee, at the Peace Palace in Phnom Penh this morning.
During the courtesy call, H.E. Tran Cam Tu conveyed greetings from CPV General Secretary and State President H.E. To Lam, as well as from Vietnam’s newly appointed Prime Minister H.E. Le Minh Hung, to Samdech Thipadei. He also congratulated Cambodia on its numerous achievements.
The senior Vietnamese official expressed his satisfaction and high appreciation for the continued progress in the strong relations and cooperation between the two countries.
For his part, Samdech Thipadei extended a warm welcome to the Vietnamese delegation and congratulated the CPV on the successful convening of its 14th Congress.
He also praised Vietnam’s sustained economic growth and the significant achievements made by the Party and State of Vietnam.
On the occasion, Samdech Thipadei conveyed his greetings to the Vietnamese leaders and expressed his appreciation for the steady progress in bilateral relations. He reaffirmed Cambodia’s commitment to further strengthening and expanding cooperation across all sectors for greater mutual benefit and prosperity.
Both Samdech Thipadei and H.E. Tran Cam Tu exchanged views on enhancing cooperation in key areas, including politics, economy, trade, security and national defence, education, and people-to-people exchanges, particularly among the youth of the two countries.
