Cambodia Reaffirms Commitment for Long-Standing Relations with Pakistan
AKP Phnom Penh, March 20, 2026 --
Acting Head of State Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo HUN Sen has highlighted Cambodia’s commitment to further boosting the bilateral relations with Pakistan, in his congratulatory message on the Pakistan Day.
“On the auspicious occasion of the 86th Anniversary of Pakistan Day, on behalf of the Senate of the Kingdom of Cambodia and on my own behalf, I would like to express my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to you, the Senate, and the people of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan,” Samdech Techo wrote on Mar. 20 in his message to H.E. Syed Yousuf Raza GILANI, Chairman of the Senate of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
“Cambodia highly values the long-standing friendly diplomatic relations cultivated with Pakistan since its establishment in 1952. Your recent visit to the Kingdom of Cambodia reflects our strong resolve to further promote our bilateral relations for greater tangible benefits,” he underlined.
Samdech Techo concluded his messaged by reaffirming his readiness to work closely with H.E. Syed Yousuf Raza GILANI to enhance the parliamentary cooperation which contributes to the depth and breadth of Cambodia-Pakistan ties for the best interests of the two nations and for regional and global peace, stability, and prosperity.
