World Vision, Smart Axiata Partner to Rebuild Homes for War-Affected Families
AKP Phnom Penh, February 25, 2026 --
World Vision Cambodia and the Smart Axiata social support fund are advancing a joint initiative to reconstruct homes for families displaced by conflict, combining infrastructure rehabilitation with youth leadership development in displacement camps.
Representatives from the humanitarian organisation met with the telecommunications company’s board of trustees on Wednesday to assess progress on the housing project, which targets communities still recovering from the impact of Thai incursions.
Beyond physical reconstruction, the partnership focuses on building long-term community resilience by equipping displaced youth with leadership skills to manage local support initiatives within camp settings.
World Vision officials expressed appreciation for Smart Axiata’s sustained investment in recovery efforts, stating that the collaboration remains vital to restoring stability and hope for families navigating the aftermath of war.
