Luxury Cruise Ship Brings Hundreds of International Tourists to Cambodia’s Coast
AKP Phnom Penh, February 06, 2026 --
A luxury international cruise liner, the Seabourn Encore, docked at Sihanoukville Autonomous Port on Friday, bringing nearly 600 multi-national tourists to explore Cambodia’s coastal attractions and cultural landmarks.
The Bahamas-flagged vessel, measuring 210 metres in length and 28 in width, arrived from Thailand early Friday morning.
According to Sihanoukville immigration officials, the ship's manifest included 581 passengers (representing 21 nationalities) and 411 crew members.
The majority of the travellers are from the United States, with 325 American nationals on board. While most guests are spending the day touring local sites in Sihanoukville, a group of 38 passengers departed immediately for a visit to the famed Angkor Wat temple complex in Siem Reap.
This visit marks the eighth cruise docking at the Sihanoukville port since the start of 2026, signaling a robust recovery for maritime tourism in Southeast Asia.
The Royal Government of Cambodia continues to prioritise the "smokeless industry" as a vital "green gold" sector, essential for national economic growth and local livelihoods.
The Seabourn Encore is scheduled to depart Cambodian waters at 8:00 p.m. tonight, continuing its regional itinerary toward Vietnam.
