Cambodian and Serbian Envoys to South Korea Pledge Cooperation in Seoul Meeting
AKP Phnom Penh, January 20, 2026 --
The Ambassadors of Cambodia and Serbia to the Republic of Korea met on Monday to strengthen bilateral ties and coordinate diplomatic efforts within their respective missions in Seoul.
In a formal meeting held at the Serbian Embassy, Cambodian Ambassador H.E. Khuon Phon Rattanak and Serbian Ambassador H.E. Nemanja Grbic discussed enhancing operational efficiency and providing mutual support to advance the interests of both nations.
Ambassador Rattanak expressed official gratitude to the Serbian government for its recent humanitarian contribution. Serbia provided US$500,000 in aid to Cambodian displaced persons, channeled through the Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
During the exchange, the Cambodian envoy provided briefings on two key domestic priorities: an update on the current situation along the Cambodia-Thailand border, and a reaffirmation of the Royal Government of Cambodia’s commitment to cracking down on online criminal networks and cross-border scams.
The meeting concluded with both diplomats agreeing to bolster cooperation between their respective embassies in South Korea, aiming for a more integrated diplomatic approach to shared regional challenges.
