Cambodia-U.S. Trade Hits US$13 Billion in 2025
AKP Phnom Penh, January 09, 2026 --
Bilateral trade between the Kingdom of Cambodia and the United States reached US$13.14 billion in 2025, representing a 29 percent increase from US$10.17 billion in 2024, according to a report released by the Ministry of Commerce on Friday.
The report showed that Cambodia’s exports to the U.S. amounted to approximately US$12.73 billion, up 28.48 percent from US$9.9 billion in the previous year. These exports accounted for 42 percent of Cambodia’s total exports, valued at US$30.14 billion, making the U.S. the Kingdom’s largest export market.
Meanwhile, imports from the U.S. totaled more than US$417 million, marking a sharp increase of 57.83 percent year-on-year, the report added.
Cambodia has continued to maintain strong export performance to the U.S. despite the implementation of new U.S. tariff rates.
H.E. Penn Sovicheat, Secretary of State and Spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce, highlighted the successful negotiation of a reciprocal trade agreement between Cambodia and the U.S., which resulted in a reciprocal tariff rate of 19 percent.
“The two countries will continue to hold technical working group meetings under the Cambodia-U.S. Investment and Trade Framework to further facilitate the creation of a favourable business and investment environment,” he said at the Ministry’s annual meeting held on Thursday.
Cambodia’s main exports to the U.S. include apparel, clothing accessories, leather products, travel goods, handbags, electrical machinery and equipment, and footwear.
Meanwhile, the Kingdom imports vehicles, machinery and mechanical appliances, as well as medical instruments and pharmaceutical products from the U.S.
