AKP Phnom Penh, December 23, 2025 -- A delegation of Cambodian women parliamentarians visited wounded soldiers at a major state hospital in the capital on Monday, a high-profile show of support for troops injured in frontline operations.

Led by Lork Kheng, Chairwoman of the National Assembly’s 8th Commission, the delegation met with personnel at the Cambodia-Soviet Friendship Hospital to praise what they described as the "invaluable sacrifices" made to protect the country's sovereignty.

The visit, conducted under the instruction of National Assembly President Samdech Maha Rathsapheathika Thipadei Khuon Sudary, comes as Cambodia’s leadership seeks to emphasise the welfare of its armed forces.

The lawmakers conveyed messages of support from the country’s top leadership, including the Senate President Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen; the Cambodian Red Cross President Samdech Kittiprittpundit Bun Rany Hun Sen; National Assembly President Samdech Maha Rathsapheathika Thipadei Khuon Sudary; Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet and the First Lady Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony.

During the visit on Dec. 22, the delegation distributed 41 million Riel (approximately US$10,250) in financial assistance contributed by the National Assembly President.

The soldiers are currently receiving treatment from state medical staff and volunteer teams. The delegation expressed hopes for their "swift recovery and reunification with their families”.
