AKP Phnom Penh, December 20, 2025 --
A senior Cambodian official on Friday delivered humanitarian assistance on behalf of Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet and the First Lady, Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony, to provincial authorities in Banteay Meanchey for onward distribution to frontline soldiers and displaced civilians.
H.E. Huot Hak, a member of the Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) Central Committee and head of the CPP Central Youth Secretariat, handed over food supplies and essential items to the Banteay Meanchey provincial administration, enough to support 1,000 families of military personnel and evacuees affected by the security situation along the border.
The handover ceremony was attended by Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Minister H.E. Dith Tina, who also leads the Royal Government Working Group for Banteay Meanchey, and provincial Governor H.E. Oum Reatrey.
Speaking at the event, H.E. Huot Hak, who is also serves as Minister of Tourism, said the assistance reflected the Prime Minister’s and First Lady’s continued concern for the welfare of soldiers and civilians, particularly those stationed or displaced along the border areas. He expressed deep appreciation for frontline troops for their “sacrifice and steadfast service” in safeguarding Cambodia’s territorial integrity and national sovereignty.
He also urged displaced residents to remain confident in the Royal Government’s leadership, saying authorities would continue to stand by the people in all circumstances and ensure no one is left behind. He underscored the Royal Government’s commitment, under CPP President Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen and Prime Minister Hun Manet, to prioritising national interests, protecting peace and security, and safeguarding the wellbeing of citizens.
Officials said the assistance was intended not only to ease immediate living hardships but also to provide moral support to border defenders and displaced families as they continue to endure challenging conditions.
