Cambodian PM Extends Support to Frontline Soldier’s Family
AKP Phnom Penh, December 19, 2025 -- Cambodia’s Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet has reaffirmed his Royal Government’s commitment to military welfare, dispatching emergency aid to the family of a frontline soldier ahead of a high-risk childbirth.
On Friday morning, First Lady Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony Hun Manet, representing the Prime Minister, visited the home of Thar Davy in Kampong Chhnang’s Rolea Pa-ir district. The visit followed a direct appeal from Davy’s husband, a soldier currently deployed on active duty at the border, who sought assistance for his heavily pregnant wife.
The aid package provided to the family was designed to ensure both immediate food security and maternal health. Items delivered included: cash assistance for medical and delivery expenses; bulk supplies of rice, clean drinking water, and nutritional staples; and a comprehensive kit of baby essentials and postnatal supplies.
During the meeting, Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony delivered personal commendations from Senate President Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen; Cambodian Red Cross President Samdech Kittiprittpundit Bun Rany Hun Sen and Prime Minister Hun Manet. She emphasised the state's gratitude for those defending Cambodia’s territorial integrity, wishing the soldier a safe return and the mother a healthy delivery.
