Samdech Khuon Sudary Offers Condolences to Sri Lankan Counterpart

President of the National Assembly of Cambodia, Samdech Maha Rathsapheathika Thipadei Khuon Sudary, sent a condolence message to Honourable Dr. Jagath Wickramaratne, Speaker of the Parliament of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte, concerning the loss of lives due to flooding and landslides.
“I am deeply grieved by the news about the current natural disasters of severe flooding and landslides triggered by Cyclone Ditwah in Sri Lanka, which caused the loss of lives, the displacement of thousands of families, many injured and missing as well as enormous devastation of properties,” she wrote.
“On behalf of the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Cambodia and on my own, I wish to express my heartfelt condolences and sympathies to Honourable Speaker, and through you, to the bereaved families for the loss of their loved ones and the victims of the families severely affected by these natural disasters,” she continued.
“While standing in solidarity with the Sri Lankan people and government during this difficult time, I wish all the victims and affected communities a swift recovery and resumption of normal life,” Samdech Khuon Sudary concluded.
