AKP Phnom Penh, December 14, 2025 -- The Ministry of National Defence of Cambodia has categorically rejected the content presented in the official announcement of the Royal Thai Navy, as well as claims circulated on certain Facebook pages.

The Ministry emphasised that the allegation claiming “Cambodian forces have infiltrated Trat province and attempted to destroy military bases and administrative agencies” is entirely false and constitutes fake news.

“Cambodia demands that the Thai side immediately cease the deliberate dissemination of false information,” the Ministry stated, adding that such disinformation is clearly intended to divert international attention from Thailand’s violations of international law by falsely portraying Cambodia as the aggressor, thereby serving as a pretext to escalate tensions and justify its continued aggression against Cambodia.
