Civilian Death Toll from Thai Attacks on Cambodia Rises to Nine, Including One Infant
AKP Phnom Penh, December 10, 2025 --
The number of Cambodian civilian casualties resulting from Thai military attacks has risen to nine, including an infant, according to the Ministry of National Defence.
H.E. Lt. Gen. Maly Socheata, the Ministry’s Spokeswoman, said the continued use of armed force by the Thai side has caused severe damage and loss of life. As of Dec. 10, 2025, a total of nine civilians have been killed and 46 others injured.
She stressed that Cambodia strongly calls on the international community to condemn Thailand’s repeated violations of the Joint Declaration on the Peace Deal between Cambodia and Thailand, as well as what Cambodia considers unlawful acts amounting to war crimes. Cambodia demands that Thailand take full responsibility for these serious violations.
The spokeswoman added that Cambodia urges Thailand to immediately cease all hostilities, withdraw its troops from Cambodian sovereign territory, and refrain from any actions that threaten peace and stability in the region.
At the same time, Cambodia calls on the Thai side to fully and sincerely respect the ceasefire, the Joint Declaration, and all obligations under international law.
