AOT Inspects Border Posts No. 52–53 in Battambang’s Kamrieng District

The ASEAN Observation Team (AOT) this afternoon conducted an inspection and observation at Border Posts No. 52–53, located in Kamrieng and Boeung Raing communes, Kamrieng district, Battambang province, opposite Chanthaburi province, Thailand.
The information was shared by H.E. Lt. Gen. Maly Socheata, the Spokeswoman of the Ministry of National Defence, adding that the inspection was facilitated by the Cambodian Liaison Group (CLG) of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
“The Royal Government of Cambodia, through the Secretariat of State of Border Affairs and the Joint Boundary Commission (JBC) of Cambodia as its central coordinating body, reaffirms its unwavering commitment to the highest standards of professional integrity and responsibility,” she said. “In all circumstances, the Royal Government places national interests above all else, particularly the safeguarding of territorial integrity and national sovereignty.”
H.E. Lt. Gen. Maly Socheata underlined that this steadfast commitment is exercised in strict adherence to international law, with full respect for the principle of the immutable border and the Cambodia–Thailand international boundary as delineated by the Indochina–Siamese Border Commission.
