Taste of Angkor Wins “Best of the Best – Cambodia” at Gourmand Awards Best of the Best

The Taste of Angkor (1st and 2nd editions), published by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MFAIC), has been awarded the “Best of the Best - Cambodia” by the Gourmand Awards Best of the Best 1995-2025 (30 Years), according to the MFAIC.
H.E. Ms. CHRING Botumrangsay, Secretary of State at the MFAIC, accepted the award on Cambodia’s behalf during her participation in the Saudi Feast Food Festival in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia from Nov. 27 to 30, 2025.
H.E. Secretary of State underscored the importance of culinary diplomacy in advancing Cambodia’s economic diplomacy. She added that Cambodia will continue to leverage its rich culture and traditions to further elevate the country’s image and prestige on the international stage.
The Taste of Angkor 2 previously won the “Special Award of the Jury” at the 30th Gourmand Awards, held during the Cascais World Food Summit on June 18-22, 2025 in Lisbon, Portugal, with hundreds of participants from approximately 200 countries.
The second edition follows the success of inaugural edition of "the Taste of Angkor, which has grabbed four prestigious international Gourmand Awards, including "Best Asian Cookbook in 2021”, "Best Asian Cuisine Book" and "Heads of State/Food" in 2022, and "Best Television Awards in 2023.
The Taste of Angkor 2 features 38 Khmer dishes and desserts commonly enjoyed by Cambodian people nationwide. The cookbook also highlights Cambodia's rich agricultural heritage and renowned Geographical Indication (GI) products such as Phka Romduol Rice, Kampot Pepper, Kampot-Kep Salt, and Kampong Speu Palm Sugar.
