AKP Delegation Pays Working Visit to Vietnam
AKP Phnom Penh, November 26, 2025 -- A delegation from the Agence Kampuchea Presse (AKP) is paying a five-day working visit to Vietnam, at the invitation of the Vietnam News Agency (VNA) to strengthen the long-standing bilateral media cooperation between the two news agencies.
During a visit to the VNA’s headquarters in Hanoi on Nov. 26, the delegation met with Mr. Nguyen Quang Hai, Director of VNA’s Photo Department, who underscored the historic relationship between AKP and VNA.
He highlighted that both state news agencies have maintained a strong partnership through the exchange of professional experiences, technical cooperation, and capacity-building initiatives, particularly in human-resource training and newsroom development.
Mr. Nguyen Quang Hai expressed his expectation that the two institutions would continue to expand their cooperation, reaffirming VNA’s readiness to further support AKP through technical assistance projects, exchange programmes, and joint activities that enhance news production, improve content quality, and meet the demands of fast, modern journalism.
“VNA will continue to extend all possible support to AKP in order to strengthen technical capacities and help improve the quality and speed of news production,” he said.
During the visit, the AKP delegates gain insights into photo preservation and newsroom practices, particularly VNA’s techniques in professional photography, and digital-era newsroom workflows.
Mr. Khem Sovannara, Deputy Director of AKP’s Photo Department and Head of the delegation, expressed his appreciation for VNA’s warm welcome and the depth of technical expertise shared during the visit.
“The experience and technologies we have seen at VNA will be highly beneficial for AKP as we work to strengthen our own news production capacity,” he said.
