AKP Phnom Penh, September 29, 2025 --
Phnom Penh is hosting the China-Cambodia Commodity Trade Fair 2025 from Sept. 28 to 30 at the Koh Pich Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Organised by Cambodian Frank Inman Exhibition Co., Ltd., the three-day event was officially opened on Sunday under the presidency of H.E. Samheng Bora, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Commerce. The ceremony was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts, Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training, the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce, the American Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia, the Foreign Business Association in Cambodia, as well as Cambodian and Chinese entrepreneurs and investors.
In his opening remarks, H.E. Samheng Bora commended Cambodian Frank Inman Exhibition Co., Ltd. for its successful organisation and for choosing Cambodia as the host country. He stressed that the fair reflects the progress of economic and trade cooperation between Cambodia and China, while also showcasing Cambodian consumers’ growing demand for Chinese products, particularly electrical appliances, electronics, construction materials, furniture, and household goods.
The Secretary of State further underlined the strong and long-standing diplomatic, economic, and trade relations between Cambodia and China, noting that reciprocal visits and participation in high-level meetings by leaders of both countries demonstrate the priority placed on strengthening their “ironclad friendship” and “diamond cooperation framework.”
Following the opening ceremony, H.E. Samheng Bora and delegates toured the exhibition booths, where they met with a number of companies expressing interest in distributing Chinese products in Cambodia.
