Cambodian NA Strengthens Cooperation with Hanyang University in Korea

Samdech Maha Rathsapheathika Thipadei Khuon Sudary, President of the National Assembly of Cambodia, led a high-level parliamentary delegation to visit Hanyang Cyber University in Seoul, South Korea this afternoon.
The delegation was warmly welcomed by Dr. Ki-Jeong Lee, President of Hanyang Cyber University, the university’s management board, faculty members, and professors.
Dr. Ki-Jeong Lee introduced Hanyang Cyber University as a leader in online education, focusing on information technology and digital skills.
The university has been ranked No. 1 in service quality among cyber universities in South Korea for 10 consecutive years.
It is renowned for its innovative approach to education and its commitment to social responsibility, positioning itself as a model for fostering global change.
Dr. Ki-Jeong Lee expressed thanks to Samdech Khuon Sudary for her personal visit to the university, and praised her as a remarkable female leader, admired not only within Cambodia but also throughout the region and on the international stage for her knowledge, wisdom, and exceptional leadership.
During the visit, Samdech Khuon Sudary expressed her heartfelt thanks to the President of the University for a warm welcome and commitment to cooperating in the promotion and development of human resources for the General Secretariat of the National Assembly of Cambodia.
Samdech Khuon Sudary emphasised that the visit to Hanyang Cyber University was one of several key activities in the Cambodian delegation’s agenda during their participation in the Universal Peace Federation World Summit 2025.
She stated that Cambodia shares similarities with the Republic of Korea, which after the war focused on human capital development.
Samdech Khuon Sudary highlighted the visionary leadership of Cambodian Prime Ministers, including Samdech Techo Hun Sen, who prioritised the key pillars of “People, Water, Roads, and Electricity.”
Under the current leadership of Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, “Technology” has been added as a crucial priority to reflect the growing demands of today's modern world, forming the comprehensive framework of “People, Water, Roads, Electricity, and Technology.”
On the occasion, the Cambodian National Assembly President witnessed the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Hanyang Cyber University and the National Assembly General Secretariat to strengthen capacity building and provide training on information technology skills for Members of Parliament and General Secretariat officials.
