The Cambodian Ministry of Commerce is actively working to foster a more business-friendly environment, said a ministry’s senior official.
H.E. Ho Sivyong, Delegate of the Royal Government of Cambodia in charge as the Director General of Trade Support Services at the Ministry of Commerce, made the remarks at the Business Dialogue 2025 held on April 2 at the Vietnamese Embassy in Cambodia.
He laid stress on the ministry's dedication to simplifying administrative procedures, reducing unnecessary costs, and implementing automated systems.
“The Ministry of Commerce, serving as one of the secretariats of the Cambodian Government, has been actively committed to fostering a more conducive business environment in Cambodia by streamlining administrative processes, reducing unnecessary costs, and implementing automated systems for business registration, trademark registration, and certification of origin issuance and so on,” he said.
“Furthermore, the ministry is establishing a dedicated call centre to provide easier access to information and efficiently address business inquiries and concerns, further supporting the growth and confidence of the private sector,” he added.
H.E. Ho Sivyong also emphasised that the overarching mission of Royal Government of Cambodia’s Pentagonal Strategy - Phase 1 is to protect and maintain hard-to-reach peace and accelerate national development to achieve the milestone of becoming a high-income country by 2050.
