The cruise ship INSIGNIA, carrying over 500 international tourists from 24 different nationalities, docked at the Sihanoukville Autonomous Port for a one-day visit to Cambodia.

According to police immigration officials at the Sihanoukville Autonomous Port, the INSIGNIA, flying the Marshall Islands flag, arrived at the port on Mar. 2, at 10:30 am. The vessel, measuring 280.45 metres in length, 25.46 metres in width, and with a draft of 6 metres, brought 528 tourists (273 female) and 402 crew members (84 female) representing 42 nationalities.

The cruise ship had departed from Thailand and is scheduled to leave Sihanoukville Port at 9:00 pm on the same day, for Vietnam.

The majority of the tourists on board were from the U.S. (356), with other nationalities also represented. Of the total number of passengers, 39 tourists (18 female) from six different nationalities disembarked to visit Angkor temples in Siem Reap province.

Those remaining in Sihanoukville explored various local attractions, including the fishing village at Sangkat 1, the Phsar Leu market, the coastal area, the iconic lion statues, and cultural sites such as Wat Intanhean and Wat Cheatanhean pagodas. 

Some passengers also visited the Bay of Light development area, the Preah Thong Neang Neak statue, and the Vipassana Kiri Neakvoan Meditation Centre (Wat Samathi) in Sangkat Ream.

The tourists' visit to Sihanoukville was facilitated by the Sihanoukville provincial administration, with security and safety measures provided by local law enforcement and authorities.
