H.E. Hem Vanndy, Minister of Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation, received at the ministry of Mar. 27 Cambodian recipients of the 2025 Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship, ahead of their departure for Japan on April 1, 2025.

As requested by the awardees, H.E. Minister discussed the Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation (MISTI)'s portfolio and Cambodia’s national development strategies, highlighting the country’s commitment to industrial transformation and innovation-driven growth. 

H.E. Hem Vanndy also shared personal advice on living and studying in Japan, encouraging the students to maintain control and fully embrace this valuable opportunity.

According to MISTI, the 2025 MEXT Scholarship awarded 31 Cambodians, with 9 pursuing research degrees, 2 bachelor’s students, 10 pursuing technical associate degrees, and 10 in technical and vocational training.
