Cambodia, India Vow to Further Foster Water Resources Cooperation
AKP Phnom Penh, February 24, 2025 --
Cambodia and India have pledged to foster bilateral cooperation in water resources development in Cambodia.
The joint commitment was highlighted in a meeting between H.E. Thor Chetha, Cambodian Minister of Water Resources and Meteorology, and H.E. Vanlalvawna Bawitlung, Indian Ambassador to the Kingdom, at the ministry on Monday.
H.E. Thor Chetha thanked the Government of India for supporting the development of Cambodia’s water resources.
The minister reaffirmed strong commitment to continue strengthening and expanding cooperation and requested the Indian side to speed up preparations for the implementation of new water resources development projects.
The Indian ambassador highly appreciated the good cooperation and looked forward to supporting the sector with the new projects.
