USARPAC Commander Visits Cambodia This Week

H.E. Gen. Ronald P. Clark, Commander of the United States Army Pacific (USARPAC), is travelling to Cambodia to pay an official visit to the Kingdom on Feb. 24-25 to boost military relations between the two countries.
According to the Royal Cambodian Army’s press release, during the visit, H.E. Gen. Ronald Clark will pay separate courtesy calls on Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet; H.E. Gen. Tea Seiha, Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence; and H.E. Gen. Vong Pisen, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces.
H.E. Gen. Ronald Clark will have a bilateral meeting with H.E. Gen. Mao Sophan, Commander of the Royal Cambodian Army, during which the two commanders will engage in detailed discussions aimed at strengthening and expanding military cooperation, as well as building mutual trust and confidence in the defence sector between the two countries, the source added.
This visit of H.E. Gen. Ronald Clark coincides with the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Cambodia and the U.S. This is the second visit to Cambodia by a USARPAC commander, while the first one was made by H.E. Gen. Vincent Brooks in 2014.
