2025 Cambodia-China People-to-People Exchange Year to be Launched Next Week

The 2025 Cambodia-China People-to-People Exchange Year will be officially launched next week in Henan province, China, the Ministry of Tourism said in a press release issued on Feb. 17.
The Ministry of Tourism of Cambodia, in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People’s Republic of China, will hold the closing ceremony of "2024 Cambodia-China People-to-People Exchange Year" and the official opening ceremony of "2025 Cambodia-China People-to-People Exchange Year".
The event will feature joint Cambodia-China national art performances, Cambodia’s martial art - Kun L'bokator and Shaolin Kung Fu performances, as well as a fashion show of Cambodian and Chinese traditional costumes, along with several other important programmes, read the statement.
“This event will play an important role in promoting Cambodia-China tourism, as well as contributing to enhancing Cambodia's prestige, rich cultural arts, and rich tourism potential to the international market, especially the Chinese market,” the ministry said.
It would be an opportunity to connect and expand people-to-people contacts, trade relations, strengthen good partnerships and cooperation, contribute to building a "Cambodia-China Community of Shared Future" and to continue supporting Cambodia- China Diamond Hexagon cooperation,” the source added.
Cambodia and China launched the "2024 Cambodia-China People's and People's Exchange Year in January 2024 in Siem Reap province.
Last year, Cambodia welcomed 848,952 Chinese tourists, up 55 percent from 547,798 in 2023, a Tourism Ministry's report showed.
