Ministry of Agriculture, U.S. University Discuss Human Resource Development
AKP Phnom Penh, February 08, 2025 --
The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries and Kansas State University (KSU) of the United States have discussed cooperation in training and building the capacity of Cambodia's agricultural human resources, particularly in research and laboratory work.
H.E. Prak David, the ministry's Secretary of State, and Dr. Richard Howard Linton, President of KSU, held the discussion in Phnom Penh on Feb. 7.
It also touched on training Cambodian students and agricultural officials at the subnational levels in technical agricultural terms and communication in English, necessary for research and laboratory work.
The secretary of state also briefed Dr. Richard Howard Linton about Cambodia's Agricultural Development Linking to Investment and Trade 2025 (CAFE-2025), which is a main programme in mobilising and understanding the needs of agricultural investors in Cambodia.
The guideline will help boost the exports of Cambodia's potential agricultural products, including rice, mangoes, cashews, cassavas, and rubber.
