Cambodian PM Sends Condolence Message to Chinese Counterpart

Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, has sent a condolence message to H.E. Li Qiang, Premier of the State Council People's Republic of China, over the recent destructive earthquake in Southwest China.
"It is with profound sadness to learn of the powerful earthquake that struck the Xizang Autonomous Region of southwest China on the morning of January 7, 2025. This tragic event has resulted in significant loss of lives, numerous injuries, and extensive damage to properties," he wrote in his message dated Jan. 9.
On behalf of the Royal Government and the people of Cambodia, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet extended his deepest condolences and sincere sympathy to the Government of the People's Republic of China and to all those who have lost their loved ones in this calamity. At this moment of grief, Cambodians stand in solidarity with the Chinese government and people, especially those affected by this natural disaster, he underlined.
"I am fully confident that, with your leadership and the resilience of the Chinese people, the affected areas will soon be rehabilitated and restored," said Samdech Thipadei Prime Minister.
