Cambodian Runner Wins 2nd Place at Indochina Marathon 2024
AKP Phnom Penh, January 03, 2025 --
A Cambodian runner, Mr. Leng Tong, 52, won 2nd place at the Indochina Marathon 2024 in the Angkor Archaeological Park, Siem Reap province.
The winning marks a new record-breaking for Mr. Leng Tong, who succeeded in the 42-kilometre running at 3:29:02.
"The success makes me train even harder for key national and international sports events as a Cambodian athlete," said Mr. Leng Tong, adding that he will join an international running race in Europe in 2025.
The Indochina Marathon 2024, which took place recently, was organised through a collaboration among Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam.
About 5,327 runners, both athletes and volunteer runners from 14 countries that are members of the Asian Athletics Association, joined the event.
