A total of 470 tourists of 33 different nationalities, 250 of whom are women, on board of " SEABOURN ENCORE " cruise ship has paid a day-long visit to Sihanoukville of Preah Sihanouk province.

The 210.5-metre-long, 28-metre-wide and 6-metre-deep cruise ship sailing under the flag of Bahamas docked at Sihanoukville Autonomous Port on Tuesday.

According to Sihanoukville Autonomous Port, most of the tourists are American (170), British (76) and Australian (63). They visited cultural resorts, beaches and other tourist attractions in the Preah Sihanouk coastal province.

Coming from Vietnam, the cruise ship with 402 crewmembers of 47 different nationalities, of them 103 are women, departed for Thailand in the evening of the same day, the source added.

More and more tourism vessels bringing along thousands of multinational tourists and crewmembers visited Cambodia via the Sihanoukville Autonomous Port.

Tourism is a priority sector in promoting Cambodia’s macroeconomic growth and social development and is expected to take up the biggest part in the country's GDP in the near future.
