Cambodia’s Ministry of Tourism and the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Cuba have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on tourism cooperation to strengthen and expand bilateral collaboration in the tourism sector.

H.E. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism of the Kingdom of Cambodia, signed the MoU with the Cuban Ministry of Tourism, represented by H.E. Ms. Milena Caridad Zaldívar Piedra, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to the Kingdom of Cambodia, in Siem Reap province on Sept. 27.

According to the Cambodian Ministry of Tourism, the MoU marks an important milestone in establishing a framework for cooperation between the tourism authorities of the two countries. It aims to promote tourism development, facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experience, and diversify Cambodia’s tourism markets into Latin America, based on the principles of equality and mutual benefit.

Cambodia and Cuba established diplomatic relations in 1960. As of 2026, the two countries have maintained 66 years of diplomatic friendship and cooperation.
