King Calls for Greater Support and Appreciation for Teachers’ Noble Mission

His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia, has called on all compatriots, particularly parents and students, to continue supporting, encouraging and highly valuing the noble mission of teachers.
According to a recent Royal Message issued on the occasion of Teachers’ Day on Oct. 5, 2026, His Majesty expressed his great joy and joined the Cambodian people in celebrating this important occasion.
The King said Teachers’ Day is an important annual occasion to commemorate the invaluable contributions of teachers of all generations, in both the religious and secular spheres, who have devoted their physical strength, heart and wisdom to fulfilling the mission of developing valuable human resources for the nation.
On this meaningful occasion, His Majesty expressed his profound appreciation and gratitude to teachers for contributing to the restoration and development of Cambodian society through teaching and education with a strong sense of responsibility and professional conscience.
The King highlighted that teachers’ efforts to provide knowledge, guidance, inspiration and ideas, while instilling morality, virtues and values in school and university students, make an important contribution to laying a strong foundation for human resource development and the progress of society.
His Majesty also encouraged and supported all teachers to continue upholding morality, virtues and dignity, while constantly developing their knowledge, capacity and professional skills in line with social and technological developments and the needs of younger generations.
At the same time, the King called on all compatriots, particularly parents and students, to continue supporting, encouraging and highly valuing the noble mission of teachers.
Active participation from all sectors of society is an important driving force for improving the quality of education and developing human resources equipped with knowledge, capacity and potential to contribute to the country’s continued development and sustainable progress, His Majesty stressed.
