Some 510,000 Foreign Tourists Visit Angkor Archaeological Park in First Nine Months

Some 510,528 foreign tourists visited the famed Angkor Archaeological Park between January and September this year, down 27.61 percent compared to the same period in 2025, a report from the state-owned Angkor Enterprise showed on Oct. 1.
The Angkor Archaeological Park generated over US$24.2 million from ticket sales in the first nine months of 2026, down 25.90 percent compared to the same period last year, the source pointed out.
In September alone, the park attracted some 35,535 international visitors, a year-on-year decline by 0.32 percent, but the revenue rose by 3.10 percent to almost US$1.7 million.
Located in Siem Reap province in northwest Cambodia, the 401-square-kilometre Angkor Archaeological Park is home to 91 ancient temples built between the 9th and 13th centuries.
Inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1992, the park continues to be the most visited and iconic tourist attraction in the country.
