Cambodia, Belarus Expand Trade and Economic Cooperation

Cambodia and Belarus have discussed nine areas for expanding bilateral trade and economic cooperation, as the two countries reviewed progress under their existing cooperation framework.
On Sept. 30, H.E. Ms. Tekreth Kamrang, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Commerce, and H.E. Leonid Ryzhkovsky, First Deputy Minister of Industry of the Republic of Belarus, co-chaired the fifth meeting of the Joint Committee on Trade and Economic Cooperation (JCTEC) between Cambodia and Belarus in Minsk.
The meeting was attended by about 25 senior officials and representatives from relevant ministries and institutions of both countries.
The discussions focused on monitoring progress in implementing the bilateral trade and economic cooperation framework, while identifying new opportunities to expand cooperation across various sectors.
The two sides held in-depth discussions on nine areas: industry; the supply of agricultural and food products; pharmaceuticals and medical equipment; civil aviation and air connectivity; finance and banking; science and technology; tourism, education and culture; bilateral trade; and business events and exchanges of visits between the two countries' business communities.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to advancing work under the cooperation framework and translating it into tangible and effective outcomes.
